Study Abroad Recap

Instead of staying trapped in a classroom for hours on end each day, students have increasingly begun enrolling in available study abroad programs and booking flights to other countries to get an education in a more hands-on way.

So, what are the benefits that come with studying abroad?

Studying abroad is a great way to become acquainted with the different cultures that are out there, which is seen as a valuable quality to employers, according to Tony Overmyer, director of sales and marketing at the Lebermuth Company.

Overmyer said that a willingness to experience new things and go out and learn about different parts of the world is an impressive feature that is sought out by employers.

The experience of studying abroad can also serve as a standout aspect of résumés, helping to attract the attention of employers when job searching.

Steve Tadd, former marketing director at Nautic Global Group, said that having an interesting and unique experience to talk about in an interview plays a very important part of getting hired.

Studying abroad can also teach participants about themselves and help them to grow and mature as adults.
